Location
For this quest you'll follow the Africa Trail. This walk averages around 30 minutes and the route is very basic.
Follow the clues given and look at the key to figure out which animal is which and to learn more about these animals you're finding.
HAVE FUN!
After entering the zoo take a right at the Savanna and follow the trail. Continue straight down the path until you come across a black and white stripped body and tail.

Continue on down until you come across an animal that comes from an egg and is known for standing on one leg.
What bird did you come across?
A little bit further down the trail are animals that even when are grown adults still play. Make sure to take a good look at them before you continue on your way.
What playful animal is this?
After those little critters, take a left at the fork in the road and past the conservation. Here you'll come across another animal from the African nation. This animal is known for its speed and can get up to 70 mph in 9 strides.

Right next to this animal is another animal covered in a blend of colors and is related to man's best friend.

Next, continue on and look toward your left. Here are four legged critters that are reddish-brown and white who jump with all legs when they get the jitters.

On the other side of the trail are two types of monkeys.
Both are full of colors and look sort of funky.
One is filled with all sorts of colors and the other is pink and gray, which one is which?
As you continue on, stay to the left as you come to the split in the road. This next animal weighs about 4,000-7,000 lbs, which would require a lot to be towed.

Take a left at the end of the path and you'll come across a star in one of Disney's famous movies. If you can remember its name you'll know what this creature is with the big mane.
What sort of famous animal is this?
Now take a quick look to the left and check out another animal from that same Disney movie. He went by the name of Pumba and has big tusks. These animals eat grass, roots, and a bunch of bugs.

Now, get back on the main path and continue around the bend and take a look into this next pen. Here lies a black and orange striped animal. They are well known for these stripes and are ferocious mammals.

Continue down the path and turn left, away from the desert path. Go until you see an eye in the sky. Near is a little cave with little critters inside. Here is the world's smallest type of fox, try to find them as they hide.

Finally, follow the path until you come to where you began. Look to the left and point out the tallest animal in the savanna if you can.

The Warthog is an animal that has a short neck, and because of this has to kneel in order to eat. This animal is also present in the movie Lion King.
Activity: The warthog eats all sorts of things, ranging from roots to bugs. What sorts of things do you eat during the day?
The African Lion is known as being the king of the jungle. Lots of cats live a solitary life, yet lions live in groups and work in teams. The lion is also the main animal presented in the movie the Lion King.

Mandrills are monkeys that live in dark forests and are full of colors. These colors are meant for others, like their young, to be able to see them when things get dark and hard to see.
Baboons are another type of monkey which lives more in dry environments. They also have grayish hair as well as large teeth that they use to scare off other animals.

The Mhorr's Gazelle are reddish gazelle's with white underneath. When startled, they have a tendency to jump in the air with all four legs.

Wild dogs in Africa have a camouflage that helps them to not only hide in their environment, but to also hide their numbers when stalking their prey.
Activity: The African dog is related to the domestic dog, a common household pet. What sort of pets do you have?
Flamingos are pinkish/whitish birds that are well known for standing on one leg. The reason they do this is to keep their legs warm. Also, they are pink due to what they eat.

The Spotted-necked Otter are one of the few animals that play even through adulthood. They are also one of the most ferocious predators.

Zebras travel in herds, and are known for their unique camouflage of black and white strips.

Giraffes have long legs and a long neck. They can range in height from around 14 ft. to 18 ft. In the Savanna exhibit it is the tallest animal.

The Fennec fox is the smallest fox in the world. They have noticeably large ears meant to release heat when it has more than it needs.
Activity: The fennec fox lives in underground dens. What other sorts of animals can you think of that live underground?
The Sumerian tiger is one of the big cats who live in the jungle. They have very noticeable black and orange stripes as well as some white fur.
